Integration notes

Partner API credentials must remain server-side only.
Plan handles in your Shopify App Pricing configuration must match definePricingConfig.
A price-only change with the same plan handle and entitlements requires no kit configuration or application-code change; Shopify remains the billing authority.
Grandfathered classification is optional metadata for display, analytics, and support; it never grants access or preserves a price itself.
Use legacyShopifyHandles only when a plan handle is retired or replaced, not when only its numeric price changes.
Pending-update metadata is for transition visibility; current subscription items remain authoritative until Shopify activates the change.
Legacy Billing API migrations still require separate dual-system verification.
